DO YOU HAVE QUESTIONS ABOUT THE SJP EXPERIENCE?
[Q]: Do you have a studio? Where will my session be? Do you find locations or do I? How many locations will be included?
[A]: Yes, I have a studio based in my home located in Kaukauna, WI. I take the pressure off of you and find locations for your session. Although locations are important, lighting is essential for beautiful portraits. The number of location will depend on the session experience booked.
A location and address will be sent to you three days before your shoot. All of our sessions are done on-location unless you request to start with studio photos.
[Q]: Should I do professional hair and makeup?
[A]: I highly recommend it. You will be able to have as natural or dramatic of a look as you’d like because my makeup artists listen to YOU!
All makeup and hair sessions are done in the HMU artists salon or studio. Having an inspiration photo for you HMU artist is helpful so be prepared with that.
[Q]: When should I book my session? Do you require a payment to book a session?
[A]: I book out several months ahead, with June, July, August & September being the most popular/busy months. I recommend booking your session by spring of your junior year. Yes, I require a $250 booking fee in order to secure a date. This will be due at the time of booking. In the event you need to cancel your session the session fee is non-refundable.
[Q]: DO you offer a payment plan?
[A]: Absolutely. The only payment up front is the $250 session fee. The cost for the experience/package of your choice isn’t due until one week before your session. I can also break that payment up into small monthly invoices for you.
[Q]: What time of the day do you shoot? Do you shoot on weekdays or weekends?
[A]: I love the evening light and schedule 2-3 hours prior to sunset. My clients are scheduled Monday-Friday. I do make weekend exceptions if you are flying in or driving more than 3 hours for your session.
[Q]: All the clients on your website look like models, I’m not a model can I still book a session with you?
[A]: Yes you can! I have zero models in my portfolio. I work with real clients with no modeling experience. I absolutely love helping my clients look and feel confident, empowered and beautiful.
[Q]: How many outfits do I bring? Will there be help with styling? Do you have a style-closet?
[A]: Do know what looks you want but not sure how to achieve it? No worries, I am here to help! Once your session is booked you will receive a questionnaire which allows me to get to know you better. That will be followed with a link to a styling site where you can create your very own styling boards. I will also send you a what to wear guide along with links to our favorite online shops. I we have a small style-closet consisting of accessories, jackets and a selection of dresses. I am more than happy to pull pieces I have to complete your looks.
[Q]: Do your sessions include makeup? I don’t wear makeup, do you require it to book a session with you?
[A]: The SIGNATURE EXPERIENCE includes makeup! However, if you’ve booked the SWEET or the EXCLUSIVE, I highly recommend it. The biggest compliment over the years would be that my retouched images are not over edited. I owe that to professional, camera ready makeup. If you don’t wear makeup, no worries our barely-there look will be perfect for you, it’s light and sheer but does a great job evening out skin tones and blemishes, yes even guys often add on professional makeup. You may be amazing at applying makeup, however camera makeup is different than your everyday look. A full understanding of the right camera-ready products and application is essential for beautiful straight out of camera results.
[Q]: Can I repost or share my images on social media?
[A]: Absolutely! I want you to share your experience and images with your friends and family. All I ask is that you tag SJP in your post. However, never apply filters or edit my professional images in any way.
[Q]: Do you only shoot seniors?
[A]: I love working with teens! My work is so much more than taking pretty pictures. A few years ago, I decided to specialize in senior portraits but I still love other genres of photography and book them throughout the year. I also photograph families, children, events and professional branding headshots.
[Q]: What kind of sessions or packages do you offer and what do they include?
[A]: I understand that not one person is the same, so I have created multiple sessions and packages, ensuring there is something for everyone. For more detailed information on sessions and packages please request my pricing guide HERE
[Q]: Can I have a pet, friend or family members in my some of my pictures?
YES! YES! YES!

{Q:} Are parents or friends allowed at my session?
{A:} Absolutely, this is an important day for you, I want anyone special to you to experience it with you.
{Q:} When will I get to see my images?
{A:} Unlike most other photographers, I allow my seniors to see their images throughout their session on the back of the camera. Up to three sneak peeks will be posted on Instagram throughout the next week. You’ll have to wait for the rest.
{Q:} My session is over, what’s the next step?
{A:} Your proofing gallery will be sent to you within 2 weeks of your session date. From there you’ll choose the images you love by clicking the HEART. YOU get to choose exactly what you want from your session.
[Q:] Can I get prints, wall art and albums from you?
FOR SURE! I offer a wide range of wall art, albums, print, grad cards and keepsakes. AND a print credit comes with each session so you can apply that toward any of the items in the print shop.
{Q:} How long does it take to get my final images and print products? Will they be shipped to us or do we pick them up?
{A:} Final edits and delivery typically take 4 weeks from the time you choose your favorites. If you have purchased print products or an album, I love to inspect all products to make sure they meet my expectations before I hand them over to you. Once all your products are in, you will be notified and a pickup time can be scheduled.
